Utopian Update

Well, you can see why my school reports always said "kylie is easily distracted", "kylie could excel if she applied herself". What was I thinking, showing you that pic? (yesterdays post, below)I have much better ones :)

I thought I'd update on a coupla things.
  • I have cooked vegetarian at least three times since I said I would do it once a week.
  • Bought chocolate yesterday and didn't even think about whether it might be fair trade. Ah well, on the positive side it's the first time I've bought the stuff this year so at least I'm not contributing to "the baddies" too often.
  • Haven't bought any coffee yet, so no room to succeed or fail there.

I haven't stopped noticing interesting user names etc.

  • resonator
  • snickers
  • the sartorialist
  • church lady

There were more but do you think I wrote them down? Interestingly I was reading a food blog where all of the names of people commenting appeared to be their real names. Looks like foodies have no secrets, or are unimaginative or something.

Anything else I should tell you?

Can't think of anything.

See ya :)

  2. Ah, don't claim to have better pics than the one in the previous post and then not post them...

By the way, perhaps I am late comer to your site and need to get it together, but what's wrong with chocolate? It goes well with coffee. In fact I just melted an entire chocolate bar in my coffee and am going drink/eat it after I am done typing this.

    Chat soon and after,

    Brian

  3. brian,
i never told you about chocolate, only my wish to eat the ethical stuff most of the time, so youre not behind.
I'm not well versed in this but can tell you that the ridiculously cheap prices we pay for chocolate in australia (and probably the US) comes at a cost to lots of exploited labourers, often children i think.
i LOVE chocolate and i'm with you on it being good with coffee.
i'm enjoying your blog and i'm wishing you the best for your exam
    cheers

you're not supposed to use your real name here :) I can hear the sirens coming for you already....CSI might tell you how to clean up the scene, if you're lucky.

    jeez, who invited you anyway?
if you send a pic of yourself and/or the littlwe one i'll introduce you

  7. Kylie,
Hope you are having a good day/night...i have to see mark's blog to know time... :)

lorin~ first you clean up your big mistake in commenting..."in reading youre blog i have notised numerous speling grammer and punshuaishun " anyway your dictionary have these words "punshuaishun, speling, youre, notised" even the word "speling" is not right. the spelling spelled as "spelling".
let us see your blog. we will help you clean up your mistakes. not rude like you..just trying to help you.. just sympathy cause you are not seeing the big piece of wood struck in your eyes but you see the tiny hair.
come back and we can have some tea. cause anyone come to house we will give something to drink, sure you are tied after pointing everyone's mistake.

  9. Hey, love how Brian has his choclate & coffee. I have a list of different ways to enjoy tea, coffee & chocolate and I'll be adding this to it. In fact might have melted chocolate & marshmellow in with drinking chocolate tonight. It's a cool rainy day in Sydney today. Ymmmmmmm chocolate.
