Today I have a day off. I had fantastic plans.......
I was going to tackle the mound of (clean) laundry that is beginning to rival Everest. No-one can find their clothes and it all keeps falling on the floor into the clouds of dog hair that waft from one place to another. I was going to vacuum and mop the kitchen floor.
If I blogged it was going to be something of substance or at least something that has been on the back-burner for a while.
And here I sit. Telling you what I haven't done. No substance, nothing that has been waiting, little housework.
Having said all of that, I have done a few chores and the day is still young-ish, so perhaps all is not lost.
I'll keep you posted.
Maybe
Update: I did the vacuuming! Yay! Taffy has a nice clean floor to redecorate. Decided to ignore Everest and the kitchen floor can wait. Had pizza for tea. All up I did OK.

Hello Kylie,
ReplyDeleteI hope this finds you feeling more like your old self again. Congrats re vacuuming :) We're waiting for Helen to get back from tennis and then off to the local shops. I'm buying some strides and then there's the library to visit.
Cheers,
M.
Have a great weekend.
ReplyDeleteOkay...here I am, as sick as I am, to say none of them did you justice. Did they? I know what your house looks like. No, mine doesn't look like that even when I'm sick, but I do understand!!! There have been days when I just wanted to let it go. Let it all just slide into never~never land. But did I? No. Of course not because I would suffer the landslide. And as Stevie Nicks said "The landslide'l get you down."
ReplyDeleteGod I've missed you. I read your little blurb today or yesterday and laughed on my blog. I haven't been on the computer in days because I've been so ill, but to see your few words made me laugh because I'm a woman of so many words. I often wonder how men and women like you edit? Do you always carry around your little book of Stunk and White (The Elements of Style)? I don't. I just yap and yap and yap when ever I have a chance and when I'm done, I'm done. Like now. I feel like total trash, but still find the words to fill the page. Go figure?
Oh well...I'll give ya a break. I just want to relay one thing I remember from long ago. Probably because I'm so sick. You wrote to Mark ages ago about me and said "I think she thinks you're in England." I always loved that. No, I actually knew he wasn't! Just so you know. I may have confused him with someone who was...but only briefly!
You're a gem of a friend and I love you completely!
