Dark forces have kept me from posting this week. Well, the vicissitudes of life, anyway.
The kids are back at school and the respite of Christmas is long past so work is hectic. Neither of those things are terribly different to usual but they have served to break the rhythm I have established over the past month or so. Add to that the fact that Sydney's heat and humidity has robbed everyone of any good humour and my car broke down and you have a recipe for a totally disrupted routine.
Having explained all of that I don't feel like launching into a proper post, so that's all you get today :)
PS. Bindi tagged me, a tag with a difference, asking me to bless three others. The Irish blessing I have added to my page is for anyone who visits.
I love you. And I love the Irish Blessing. Thank you for being.

Hey Kylie,
ReplyDeleteSorry to hear about your car breaking down - why does that always seem to happen at the worst possible time it could?
What do you mean you're a lot older than I am, I'm in my seventies, how old are you??? Just kidding. Seriously though, thanks for the advice and the comments. It's good to have some feedback. I am doing my best to just 'do' stuff and stop second-guessing myself - I'll keep you posted as to how I go.
Kylie,
ReplyDeleteI love the Irish blessing too..
wish you and family have a wonderful weekend..
love

I'm sorry you have had such a terrible week. I hope the weekend is relaxing and brings forth a much more blogging productive week to come. The Irish blessing is beautiful. My Dad taught me an irish jig song when I was a child.
ReplyDeleteIt is not as eloquent and beautiful as the blessing, but it is sort of fun, and I like to be fun.
The words to follow:
Have you ever been down to an Irish Man's Shanny?
Where money is scarce and whiskey is plenty.
A two legged stool with a table to match, a hen in the corner all ready to hatch.
You walk in the parlor with mud to your knees, you walk in the bedroom all covered with fleas, you kick and you scratch and you itch and you paw, don't see how you get any rest at all.
Okay, I'm laughing. I was laughing at Muser and being in his 70's, then got down to dear ole Cecile and just lost it. That girl has gotta stop it. How in the hell did we collect all these people? They're killin' me.
ReplyDeleteI just wrote a new post, went to check on the final version and realize I lost half the text. WHAT???!!!! I'm so annoyed I logged off. I'll deal with it tomorrow. Good Lord. I have to retype all that crap?
Sorry about your car breaking down. Hope you have AAA or a version there of. I bet in the heat and humidity your curls get even tighter! Good luck with that.
Lots of love,
Suze
hey suze,
ReplyDeleteyes we have the NRMA for road service. unfortunately all they could do was tow her to the shop where she will be for at least a week. luckily i was just a couple of blocks from home when it happened so just grabbed the shopping and walked the breakdown itself was not a drama, life without a car might be.
yes my hair is insane in the humidity but it's insane anyway. gave up on that long ago.
will look forward to your new post.
cecile, good to see you back round these parts. loved the jig...sounds like my life :) :)
muser,
i'll be watching..........
bindi,

Hi Kylie,
ReplyDeleteSorry to read that your car broke down; I hope that it isn't too long off the road. I like the Irish blessing; what a nifty idea to add it to your page :)
Happy blogging,
Mark.
