Happy Birthday to my Babies :)

I can't believe that today makes ten years since I delivered our wee girls.
They were three and a half weeks premmie and the Tomboy didn't breathe unassisted for a minute or two but I didn't even notice because I was so busy adoring her sister. The two of them were tube fed until they had the energy to suck properly and they had to be warmed on special beds , they were so little they couldn't stay warm on their own.
At the end of the week though, they were ready to go home. I was desperate to get home and so off we went......
then I blinked and they were ten !!!

I don't want to leave it there but there seems no end of work to be done round here and the real celebration is tomorrow anyway.
They're having a sleepover for three friends. I have never hosted a sleepover for tweens before and I'm more than a little concerned about it, especially given that I haven't prepared anything. It's a good thing I can fly by the seat of my pants for these things :)
Stay tuned and hopefully I'll get some pics of the festivities, not forgetting the birthday duo.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY GIRLS !!
LOVE YOU TO THE MOON AND BACK !

  1. HAPPY BIRTHDAY GIRLS!

I had a sleepover "just for fun" last night. The seat of your pants is the best way to fly just make sure you have an escape route and somewhere to bunker down.

  7. hi all !!
on behalf of the twins thanks for your birthday wishes

    to cece,
i rarely refer to them as twins, its nearly always "the girls" just as the boys arent twins but are "the boys"
    whats a float trip??

    have a great weekend all

  10. Well, I have not decided if we are going to rent canoes and paddle, or rent huge black innertubes and float down a river in Northern Arkansas called the Buffalo River. It is the only National River in the U.S. Motorized watercraft are not allowed on it in order to preserve it and keep it clean. But that is the definition of a float trip.

  11. I'm late. What's new. Hey, I'm here young lady!!! Happy birthday to the girls. Hope they had a wonderful celebration and that you still have some fabric to cover your butt! You seem very good at sliding into home plate, so also assume your hair, makeup and nails look perfect too. Well of course I'm laughing. I'm laughing even harder that Cece didn't realize you have twins. What the hell's she been readin' (or drinkin')? Cece, honey, baby, sweetie, for God sakes woman, snap out of it.

Okay, Shirley Temples on me over at the Cafe. Bring the girls and the boys. Auntie Gig can teach them all about disco and Uncle Severus can teach them all about whips (good lord).

    Love ya honey,
    Me XO
