  9. In the 70's there was a song that went sort of like this:

    Soul sistas,
    Soul sistas,
    Come and get your love,
    Come and get your love.

Leah probably knows the full lyrics and artist. I don't.

Great post baby and thanks for all your support on my birthday. Love you to bits. Hope this week is pure pleasure and absolute relaxation. (Of course I'm laughing!!!)

What???!!! Don't touch me you wacky broad!!! PEEEEEEEEEEETER! Help me!!!! Kylie's going to kick my aspen.

  13. Hi Kylie.
Hope you get all that you need, and a few things that you want.

At least you were called a "Bad Mom" by your son today, were you?

    I was.

I told him that was ok, because he was being a "Bad Son" right now, too, so that made us even.

What a little brat. Man I wanted to smack him upside the head. But I refrained. I just sent him to his room instead. And then I ignored his screams for the next 30minutes. AHHHHHH the joys of mother hood.

Why was he son angry at me you ask?

Well, even if you didn't ask, I'm going to tell you.
We went to a Birthday party for a boy next door. And they were given goody bags. We Forrest was upset because Nathan's goody bag had a plastic worm in it and his didn't. So he wanted me to walk back to their house and ask to exchange goody bags. And he got mad at me when I told him no. I told him that sometimes in life you just have to live with what you get and that was that. Anyway, he's over it now, and he even came and apologized for calling me a "Bad Mom". He asked me if I would forgive him and if I was apologize for calling him a "Bad Son". We hugged and made up.

  16. excuse me for answering cecile first

    I'M HEARIN YA!!!

aren't they amazing the way everything has to be absolutely equal!! fairness knows no bounds the way kids want it!
last weekend liam helped himself to a lolly of caitlin's, she didn't want him to have the cola one, he was upset, she offered another one, he refused it, she was wounded......and on it goes. for one little lolly! one she had been given in the first place.

today she gave him a whole ice cream, one she had paid for herself, one of six in a pack. go figure.

as for the bad mum thing, keaghan has informed me that he is the ONLY child in his grade who doesn't have a cell phone (as if) and he has told all his friends how horrible i am and when i go to the school everyone will know that i am the worst mother.....

the worst accusation ever was a lot of years ago now "you don't love us"
i didnt react so well but thats how it goes, eh?
thankfully i've never faced that one since

    TO MARK, BINDI AND SUZE
I'LL BE BACK SOON BUT I HOPE YOU'RE ALL HAVING A GOOD WEEKEND

    XOX

  18. Hi Kylie
I can relate with all the kid things, there are days the grandkids don't like me or papa. Oh, well we all get past it...lol.

  19. I don't know about that other stuff, but after hearing that Starbucks closed the bulk of their stores in Australia, I'd say you need a cup of coffee.

Don't worry. When you come to visit me in February 2009 (goal setting)you will still find at least one Starbucks on every corner, and sometimes even two.

  20. hi gig!!
    long time, no computer, huh?
great to see you back here.
i thought grandparents were safe from the changing tides of favour with kids? obviously i have much to learn!

  21. brian,
great to see you back here, too!

do you believe i have never been to starbucks?
never had one of their coffees?

apparently they failed in australia because the coffee culture here was too well established and dare i say it, sophisticated.

i know the difference between good java & bad but frankly, if it has caffeine, it's halfway there for me :)

seattle in feb 2009 sounds wonderful, if cold? yep, it's gotta be freezing, right?
is the ticket in the post?

and while you are setting my goals, any other suggestions?

    cheers
    k

  24. It has been too long without my computer...it is fixed *crossing fingers*,but does not have sound. That should be resolved soon though. Have lots of pics to download, then I will try to get back in the groove...right now though I am using my Mom's computer, it is new, thought I would play with it,lol.

Oh yea, on the gkids...sometimes they are with us too much and we become more parental than "just grandparents that spoil". Too many Chiefs...not enough Indians type of thing.

    xo
