Poem 39- The Huntsman

Like a dry brown leaf

hairy, long legs scurry past.

Arachnid hunter.

  1. I like them.
Others in the house do not. So spider relocation is my job.

    1. We have a Huntsman in the house most summers and I'm ok with that if it's on the ceiling but this one disappeared behind some furniture. It could show up anywhere

  2. Is writing poetry a new part of you or have you always written poetry. I suggest you publish these.

    1. Linda, I've never written poetry, I don't read it either, I don't process it well.
A Facebook friend of mine offered to put some into a book for me, she does calligraphy and bookbinding for fun!

  3. I have thoroughly enjoyed your poetry. I neither like nor dislike spiders and let them be until it gets time to clean the windows. Then I gather them on a duster and shakes them off outside.

    1. Thank you, Anne.
I usually leave them alone but I have killed some that were making huge webs in light fittings and on windows.
I will never kill a Huntsman but will put them outside if they are likely to come into contact with me!
