Photos

I don't seem to have much to say right now so I thought I would share some of my favourite photos from the last few weeks.

I always love seeing fruit and veg in large quantities and take a photo of something different to Instagram every Friday. I guess it's weird but maybe unique counts for something?

My youngest daughter and her beau. Oh to look so good, so easily!

She wanted a picture with her mama :)

A charred leaf, The only one we got this time

I have no idea why I like this one so much, something about the light maybe

King of all he surveys

I remember when I had to have this grevillea. I was right.

  1. Hello Kylie. I popped in to say hello after responding to your visit to me. Love that last photograph, is it a native plant?

    1. Hi Valerie!
It is a native plant but bred to be so much more spectacular than the original

    1. It's so easy these days to take a photo and then make it B&W and see which appeals the most!

You and your daughter show a strong family resemblance.

    1. It's a beautiful flower and huge!
I remember her once being very upset that she didn't look anything like me. Time seems to have resolved that nicely

  4. Who is the person in the great lighting? That is a beautiful plant. Maybe I have to have one, too. Your daughter does look like you. She will cherish that picture for a long time.

    1. That is my older daughter, assembling an Ikea chair.
The flower is called Grevillea Pink Flamingo. I think I loved the name as much as the flower :)

  6. Rummuser emailed this to me after blogger failed:

"They are all great photographs. I like the topmost one best. Don't the children complain?"

My children are of the selfie generation, they LOVE having photos.

  7. bbbbbbb..russel sprouts ewwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww!

The only other real thought I had was you need grand kids to fight the dog over who gets to lick the "spoon."

  8. Your photos are gorgeous Kylie, I particularly like the ones of your pretty daughter and her beau (isn’t that a lovely word), you and your daughter and your lovely dog :-) And the black and white one is very atmospheric.

    1. Beau really is a lovely word!
I'm surrounded by gorgeous things. It's not great for my ego but long may it last!

  9. Thanks for sharing your slightly quirky pictures. They provide a different take on your suburban Sydney life. Unlike The Walking Man, I adore brussel sprouts. In fact I have enjoyed every kind of vegetable I have ever eaten - as long as it's fresh.

  10. Who knew broccoli and brussel sprouts could look so GOOD! I love how your dog still has his back legs up on the couch while licking the spatula! So sweet, the big lug!

  11. These are wonderful pictures, kylie! Your daughter looks VERY like you. And yes, to look so good so easy, indeed. If only we knew that when we were that age :)
