There are many times when I like an idea but can't implement it and still feel genuine but this one has flowed easily from my emailing fingers all week.
Gentle Holidays to you, dear readers. I value you all and would love to have a cuppa or a cold drink and a chunk of cake or maybe some shortbread with you to celebrate the season.
Much love,
Kylie

How can I say this without compromising myself and yet make it right. A gentle Christmas and New Year season to you.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Andrew.
DeleteGentle holidays is a wonderful wish - and one that I will purloin/use. Thank you. And the gentlest of holidays to you and yours.
ReplyDeleteThank you, EC. And you get special wishes for cool breezes 💚
DeleteThankyou and merry Christmas to you and your family,
ReplyDeleteBest wishes to you and the micro manager, Red
DeleteBackatcha as we say out here on the Rock. I love the sentiment Kylie.

It's good, isn't it?
DeleteIn a world that seems anything but gentle lately, I receive your wish gladly and certainly wish you the same.
ReplyDeleteThat was me.
DeleteThank you, Robert. May the blessings of Christmas come the way of you and your family
DeleteThere are many people who don't celebrate Christmas and so saying "Happy Holidays" expresses your very good wishes without offending their sensibilities. At the coffee shop today, all the baristas wished everyone Happy Holidays. It was delightful.
ReplyDeleteHappy Holidays covers everyone , doesnt it?
DeleteI can't get my head round all these 'safe' greetings so I hope I don't offend by saying Merry Christmas Kylie
ReplyDeleteHi Polly,
DeleteI am not at all offended. I guess you're gearing up for the day and i Hope it's lovely :)
Merry Christmas!
I don't think I would like to be anywhere near snow, but your painting above looks very peaceful.
ReplyDeleteThe artist paints a man with a greyhound in almost every painting and I follow him on facebook because I enjoy seeing the pictures.
DeleteAfter I chose this one, I saw another that was genuinely a Christmas painting with Santa and a hound
I've seen several greetings recently that wish people Gentle Holidays. Some people could certainly do with a bit more gentleness in the way they conduct ourselves.
ReplyDeleteThe only people we can control is ourselves
DeleteHere in America, an occasional Christian store clerk wished me a "Blessed Holiday." As you might expect, I'm not fond of it.
ReplyDeleteI feel like "Blessed Holiday" is about as inoffensive as it can get? there's no overt reference to anything religious at all
