A
day
when we
put so much
pressure on ourselves to
perform: I should have bought more drinks
I wish I'd decorated and why can't I find just the right vase?
Will we have enough salads, and cheese and dessert? will it be too hot?
The cobwebs are everywhere and the grass is starting to look like a meadow.
Fifteen died last week because they were Jewish and two men had hate in their hearts.
And I am worrying about food, family and optics. At the end of the day I will wonder why
I was worried and be grateful for a life full of love. Next year I'll do it again. I should know better after
all these Christmases. May the love,
joy, and hope that comes with any
precious babe be yours this
Christmas and all of them
well said and so true..........

DeleteWe humans have a strange tendency to dwell on domestic minutiae rather than the big issues, but that's mainly because the domestic minutiae are controllable. I hope you had a great Christmas.
