On a Mission

I didn't snap this photo but the moment I saw it I was struck with the purpose shown by my small grandson and old lady Buffy.
I've just come back from a weekend with the family: 3 of my grown children, their partners and child and my dog.

I shared a cabin with the young family while the child free camped. Buffy camped because dogs aren't allowed to stay in cabins. She was well taken care of, took up a duffel bag as her bed and shared an actual bed when the weather got chilly.

It was quite lovely and I am exhausted even though I did next to nothing.

  1. Your small grandson and his loyal dog saw where they wanted to play and headed off as quickly as they could. Good on them!!... in half an hour the playground may be full and they will be squashed out of the way.

  2. I certainly know what is like to be exhausted when you have done nothing. At least my exhaustion tonight is because I did do something...yesterday, last night, today. For a week really. I wish everyone would leave me alone, but tomorrow I am again taking people out for most of the day.

    1. Hang in there and when you get a day to yourself, lock all the doors!

    1. They look like partners in crime, don't they?

  6. This looks like a great park, and sounds like you had a great weekend. I bet Lady Buffy is kicking herself over how lucky she is to end up living the royal life with you. I hope you week is as good as your weekend. Megan

    2. Oh okay, it's had a makeover since I was last there. The Blue Mountains is so lovely this time of year, actually any time of year. One of our best family holidays was at Blackheath, it is a great place.

  7. Kids & dogs. A match made in heaven (most of the time). So glad to see your new pooch getting to know the family. I'm sure she is enjoying that.
