I just want to tell you that I saw a mother duck with her gorgeous little ducklings this morning on the way to work. It made my day.

This is not them, but it looks like them.

I have posted lots of replies to your comments on my last post, so don't get so enthralled with these little critters that you forget to see what I said, okay?

Love,

k

  1. Happy April Kylie,
    Just wanted to say hi.
The ducks are wonderful, glad that you shared with us.

I have been away from home all weekend, will be going back later today. Thank Goodness for laptop or I would not be able to *see* what is happening around bloggerworld!!

Did not get anything posted, too many distractions,LOL
I am going to try and take some pics today of my old hometown.

  3. Hey Kylie,
That's a lovely picture. There is a large park not too far from here that has an ornamental lake and ther are plenty of ducks there too.
I'm glad you like the new colours of my blog; but don't get too used to them. Thank you for sticking up for me at Suzanne's place.
I have read your previous post and agree with your sentiments. More on that later.
    Cheers and beers,
    Mark.

  4. So Cute, but don't get close to their poop. I personally like to keep my distance from fowl, they carry many molds in their dung. EWWW. Oh I was actually called Monk today. Have you ever seen that television show? I don't think I am quite that bad of a germaphobe, but the comment was kind of funny.

  5. Kylie,
Wanted to check in, did you get hit with the bad weather that Mark did? I hope not. Will be thinking about all our Aussie families.

I'm sure Suze will be checking in, Cecile has opened us a new Cafe called the Wild Onion. It is really cool, there is something for everybody. You will have to go check it out.

    Take care,
    love ya,
    Gig

  6. i'm not ignoring all the comments but a bit short of time so i just want to tell gig that sydney is windy today, enough to be a little uncomfortable and probably make schoolkids ratty, but it's not a big problem.
actually, it's wonderful weather for washing the towels, they'll be nice and soft from drying in this wind and they need doing anyway.
i used to laugh at my mother, the way she was always thinking of the washing....the apple didnt fall far from the tree :)
    cheers,
    i'll be back

  7. Of course I'm checking in, and yes, the Cafe has opened. Please go check it out. Youll love it!

The reference about "stickin' up for me over at Suzanne's place" nearly broke my heart. Honey. I'm not your enemy. I adore you. I understand. I was just trying to be funny. I'm so sorry I might have offended you. I wouldn't hurt you in a million years. Sorry about that.

    Much love,
    Suze

hope you're doing ok with the weather and all. what's with you and colour schemes? do you get bored?
    love to jo and helen
    and avagoodweekend
    :)

    hi cecile,
i've heard of monk but cant remember watching it. is your germ thing related to your work?
i did a couple of years of micro at college but maybe i was so busy learning to do plates that i didnt register the scary stuff :)
i heard someone else this week complaining about ducks, have never heard such a thing before then twice in as many days. funny how the universe throws things at us, eh?
    enjoy your weekend

    suze,
do you know i couldnt find the cafe at first? got it now. i'm sure brian will be happy to have his blog back and it seems that cecile is a gracious host, so everyone's happy
i'm sure mark wasn't offended, i wasn't, so chill and dont let your heart break
    love

  10. We have a family of ducks here. They do a daily 'round, calling at all the homes where they know they'll get offered something to eat. They waddle along in line down the middle of the road bring the traffic to a halt; I'm amazed they always seem to survive.

  11. STEPHEN,
long time, no see. i had no idea that ducks could beg. then again, i had no idea that they were so revoltingly dirty either. how lovely to have them around like that. i was rather concerned for the welfare of the family i saw, they were on the shoulder of a very narrow, very busy road. all i can say is that i haven't seen any sign of squashed duck, so hopefully they're ok.
    nice to have you round

  13. G'day Kylie,
We're doing okay with the weather. Next door copped it more than we did.

Jo has more about that on her blog.

I like playing around with my colour scheme - just for fun:)

You're right that I wasn't offended by Suze's comments - i only hope i didn't hurt her feelings too much.

    Cheers & beers,
    Mark.

  15. Kylie,
I'm back...I forgot to tell you a little story. Has to do with the ducks. Mr. Big's brother Dave had a dog named Bowser and his best friend was a Duck named AFLAC (after an insuransce co).
AFLAC always followed Bowser, slept in the doghouse with Bowser, it was a Hoot. I never got any pictures, wish I had. Sadly they both have went to a better place, but we still chuckle about their friendship.

Please stop by Gigsville, I have something for you...hope you like it.

    love ya,
    Gig

  16. God, there's a "little somethin'" for you everywhere. I don't have anything. I come completely unburdened and light of load...okay, I'm lying. I designed an award and will share it in the next day or two. You will of course be a recipient! I designed it when I had the flu a few months ago, so bare with me! And yes honey, I will live to post again.

Also, your dad's a hoot! Dad, I responded to your comments a few posts back. Stick with me brotha. I don't want to waste words.

    Love you all,
    Suze XO
P.S. I've never been called Suze in my whole life. You started that you know. Now look what you've done.
