I'm Grateful.....

This week I have determined that I should collect all of my awards. When I think I have done that I'll let you know and if I have forgotten any you can let me know.

Bindi graciously bestowed this pretty award on me so I thought I'd make it true by practicing some gratitude.

Today I'm grateful for

  • the sound of rain outside
  • a job that allows me some flexibility
  • a warm bed
  • people to laugh with
  • enough money for all that we need and much of what we want
  • good health
  • a beautiful bunch of dahlias on the coffee table
  • the Tomboy's relentless joie de vivre
  • the Princess's regular gifts to me....little letters & drawings and such like. The Tomboy will be offended if I don't recognise her offerings here, they're also wonderful.
  • Dimples' general sweetness and exceptional potential
  • No.1 son for our shared humour and his consistent appreciative eating of whatever I put in front of him
  • the unwavering love of my "original" family

  3. Lovely post. I often make those gratitude lists--especially when I'm feeling down. In college, I kept a little journal specially for jotting down those lists. I still like to open it and read it sometimes.

  4. Dear Kylie,

    Terrific post!
It has really gladdened my heart (^-^)
Thanks for reminding me how great life is and that I have much to be thankful for. I'm your typical glass half-empty bloke!

  5. thanks all,
the dresses are at a temporary stand still but the weekend should see some serious action. i promise to post pics IF they turn out ok.

this joint reply isn't working, you know. i was trying to be quick and answer before i fall asleep.

i like to think i have a grateful spirit (that might be a gross over estimation, tho) but it's amazing how hard i find it to be specific. does that make any sense?

bomber, i doubt that you're "glass half empty" but i suspect you're "let me just measure that to check" is that offensive? it's not meant to be.......

    i think i'm losing it!
    g'night all

  6. Kylie,

    What a great post!

Meister Eckhart said 'If the only prayer you ever say in your whole life is thank you, that will be enough"

I tend to agree with him ;)

What beautiful things to be grateful for.

Thanks so much for visiting my blog, your comments are greatly appreciated.

And i love that wild curly hair! Just beautiful,

Love and peace to you and the family, M
