Please remind me that's reason for celebration....
Please don't ask me why they're riding scooters through the kitchen........
while I'm trying to cook dinner.
It's ok, Mum. The kitchen is a "school zone" and we go slow so we don't knock you over!!
While I was having a meltdown, cooking dinner in a school zone and taking these pics I found this shot of my adorable niece, my brother's "baby girl". She has her Daddy's eyes and she's to be joined by a brother in November. Gorgeous.
Aaah. Pandemonium reigns supreme!!
ReplyDeleteDon't you just love the school holidays?
Enjoy the experience while you can. Remember, they'll soon be teenagers!
Kylie, these are cool pics and another great Post.
You must be just about ready for a valium and a lie down.
Cheers,(and beers)
M.
Special,
ReplyDeleteThey are happy and healthy....!
Love the action shots! School holidays will be over before you know it. You have the blog to vent any frustration - not that anyone else does that of course :-P
Thanks for your support hun, it's very appreciated...
love ya hun,

I used to slide through the kitchen in my socks like Tom Cruise in Risky Business. Then last week it got to hot to wear socks so I stopped.
ReplyDeleteHey wait a minute! Is cooking in a school zone even legal? How reckless of you. Someone could have been hit in the eye with Macaroni and Cheese.
ReplyDeleteSpecial,
ReplyDeleteCould you post a prayer for me, hun?
I've just found out that my cousin in Canada has just lost one of her new born twins. Aude, my cousin, gave birth prematurely to Laurent and Meliane in February. Unfortunately, Laurent passed away on July 3rd after a long and hard fought battle, aged 4 months and 20 days. Aude and her husband, Yanick, are completely devastated at their loss, but need to be strong for little Meliane. I know you'll find the right words.
Thanks in advance, hun.
Peter xx
WOW - your kids are gorgeous! With kids that good looking, I'd say it's okay to ride the scooters through the kitchen.....just this once.
ReplyDeleteSláinte!

ReplyDeletemy heart sank as i read your request. no-one should have to go through that.
i'll post later today
God bless

Truly wonderful photos, just captures the chaos of family life so perfectly. With Hedgehog, it's karate and an accidental chop to the stomach while I'm cooking dinner.

and p.s. Peter, that's just heartbreaking. My prayers to your cousins as well...
ReplyDelete@Peter,
ReplyDeleteMy prayers go out to your cousin, also...
My Dear Peter,
ReplyDeleteYou and your family are in my prayers. Whether a child lives with you for nearly 16 years of merely 4+ months makes no difference ... we grieve deeply. I know this loss, as one of my precious twins died four years ago. Words fail me now, but the comfort of prayer welcomes me with open arms and healing touch. For Aude and Yanick, I extend prayers; for you I extend different prayers, for one who stands by in pain feeling helpless. I praise God for Meliane. A sweet, sweet consolation. Funny, I am so new to the blog world, and yet I feel as if this prayer call across all borders is the most natural of callings. Rest peacefully in His arms tonight. You are bathed in prayer, the balm of Gilead. XO ...
Special,
ReplyDeleteI know you'll do me proud - as always :-)
Leah,
Thankyou - I appreciate it :-)
Mark,
Thankyou - much appreciated :-)
Debbie,
Thankyou so much - it means such a lot that you did that for my family. I'm sorry for your loss as well - I looked at your blog, and you have a beautiful family. Thankyou.
To everyone who has commented - another thankyou. It's a difficult time for my Canadian family, and it's even harder knowing that I not met a single member of my canadian side of the family - but this will come in another post sometime in the future. This blogging lark is truly amazing.
Thankyou.
