Have I missed something?

Listening to the radio today I heard an ad for radio advertising, telling us that in radio you can advertise at the most appropriate time, the example being that car ads run on Saturday mornings.

The next ad was for an impotence treatment.

I ask you, is the beginning of the working week the prime time for addressing the problem of, um, faulty equipment?

  1. That must be why beer ads are on all the time. It's always a good time to drink!

  2. An ad shown on TV at an inappropriate time, usually around 6pm, is that anti-smoking ad.

The one where an aorta artery has all that nasty gunk squeezed out of it.

I am home for the week and taking up the carpet in our lounge rooom.

  5. Hey Kylie,
While i'm trying to type this comment to you Jo's distracting me...

"We don't have to have the same colour. We could have a yellow to match the windows". yada, yada, yada.
Helen said, "Painting??? Why do half of it and start doing something else?"

We will have polished floorboards - eventually. We did consider painting the room beforehand. The last paint job was about twelve years ago. The colour is/was Iced Champagne throughout the house.

Enjoy your day off with the kids.

  6. Is any time a good time for a faulty equipment ad? I'm confident the person with it doesn't want to be reminded of it. ;)

    Hi Bob!
    Hi Mark!
    Hi Jo!
    Hi Kylie!
    Hi new carpeting!
Hi old 12 year old paint!

    P.S.
~ Love the recipe in your previous post. I'll try it with tofu and let you know what I think.

~ When you have time stop by the Wild Onion. I posted something I think you'll find amusing. Mark and Jo too.

    Love you!

  7. Hey Kylie,
We have an L-shaped living room and dining room.
Well with Jo's and Helen's help the carpet in the living room has been pulled up. The floor is in good nick. The floor boards appear to be made of oregon. They are a red colour and were previously polished. So all that's left to do is some scraping and sanding. Then I will have the floor professionaly polished and sealed.

  8. Hi Mark,

I thought you were going to lay new carpet. So glad I misread! Your hardwood floor sounds really beautiful and oh so natural. The kitties will love you for removing that old allergy causing agent and so will you and your humans!!!

    Love you guys.

  10. hi mark,
the floor sounds good and iced champagne sounds like a nice neutral colour, all the rage so why paint ?
i took the kids to a cafe at the local shoppipng centre, they had been wanting to go for some time. then we went to my sister's place. the girls played with her little girl , keaghan played with the Wii and liam cooed over the babies. i cant believe how he loves them, its unbelievably sweet.

i'm sorry that helen had such a huge disappointment with the arts school, i guess it's no comfort now but i'm sure the experience will build resilience in her. who knows why things happen the way they do?

say g'day to your girls for me

  11. Hi Suzanne,

Thanks! I just know the floor will look terrific once it is finished. The kitties aren't too sure about it though. Simba sort of scurried across the room and his eyes were as round as dinner plates! Polo, the more relaxed of the two, thoroughly inspected our handiwork, yawned, and hopped up onto the armchair!

  12. Hi Kylie,
Glad that you had a good day out and that your visit to your sister's place was so relaxing for the kids. It is great that you and they were able to chill out like that..

Tomorrow the Kookaburra family is going to the Melbourne Zoo.

To visit the relatives. ha ha lol.

  13. G'day Mark,

I reckon you should forget about redoing the floor Boards and showing them off permanently and lay a new RED carpet. You could then invite Jeff Kennett for a dinner party.
    Cheers and hoo roo.

  15. If faulty equipment is the issue, best to start early in the week making repairs. Gotta be ready for Friday night you know.
