New flavour inspiration

tumeric latte

  1. Tumeric latte! Now that's a new one on me.
I like Lindt salted caramel truffles.
In Waitrose I saw salted caramel choc ices.
I'm sure Sydney has real Italian cafes, with Italian coffee.

    1. Sydney has one of the biggest and most sophisticated coffee cultures in the world...who ever knew that coffee would become the golden calf?
Tumeric latte is beautiful, if you are at all interested in different flavours and it's such a pretty colour

    2. Coffee as the Golden Calf? What an alarming idea!
I have a back copy of A La Carte from the 90s, all about a street in Melbourne, where immigrants from Mitteleuropa established their coffee shops.
I liked the old Kardomah Cafes (designed by Mischa Black) from long ago, and Bewley's three-floor cafe-restaurant in Dublin.
There was a Bewley's in Edinburgh, but it seems to have gone.

  2. I have to say that it sounds absolutely uninviting although that wouldn't stop me trying it.

    1. After I came up with the idea I remembered I have actually had a tumeric gelato so I wasn't very original after all. It's very nice, zingy and earthy.

  3. This is a flavor I would have to reserve my opinion until I tasted it, but I have been pleasantly surprised before.

    1. A friend of mine tried tumeric latte and immediately wasjhed it away with fresh juice so I guess not everyone is a fan
