He is always good

  1. Without wishing to be argumentative I wonder what effective use His (or Her) goodness is given the fact that man has free will and has managed to demonstrate that goodness is often far from his and her minds.

    1. Yes it's a valid point and I don't have an answer except to say that I'd probably lose all hope if I didn't think that good eventually prevails.
And you know, maybe I'm kidding myself with that, too but that's the nature of faith, isn't it? It could just be confirmation bias

  2. Reply to Grahasm: I don't mean to make "God" equal "Nature" but there is the fact that it rains on the just and the unjust, there is day for work and night for rest, summer and winter, seedtime and harvest that benefit all regardless of what direction they put their free will to.

  3. The world is a vale of tears, evil men flourish like the green bay tree, and there are many victim souls. The Lord is our stronghold.
As the preacher said, *Tell the Devil, I still got my joy !*

Satan can't steal our joy in the Lord: which is the meaning of your line,
    *He is always good.*
