Way over in Sheffield, England, UK, Brexit Central, the laughing Horse Blog Awards are about get underway. They are, by all accounts, the award of all awards for bloggers around the world (or at least t he Northern Hemishphere) As your correspondent ttypes feverishly it is 9pm NYE and typos are bound to occur. View them as proof of the hand typed and bespoke nature of "eclectica."
Seeing the need for an independent or fancier sounding "Indie" blogging award, your correspondent has gone to some lengths to establish a one-off special award.
Being a particularly grand occasion, local delicacy the HSP (Halal Snack Pack) is on the menu for all guests and nominees
Lucy the Barkinator and all around clever bitch is here to acknowledge services to activism against:
Local Good Guy, Harry the Hound, Esq. got out of bed to further explain the nomination:
- rambling
- Hull City FC
- the arts
- Princess Phoebe
- and historic contributions to veganism
Hahaha - Services against Ratana!!!!

Big, big smiles - and congratulations to the winner.
ReplyDeleteAnd a Happy, Healthy, Hopeful New Year to you - and to all who visit you.
How clever. You have a real talent, never mind you might have a typo. Happy New Year, correspondent!
ReplyDeleteI had no idea there were still Blog Awards. I shall have a dekko at Yorkshire Pudding right away.
ReplyDeleteYou pulled a good one on Mr Pudding.
ReplyDeleteShouldn’t speak too soon but I haven’t seen ‘RAT’ ( no not those ones, they’re harder to find than balls on a cow) I haven’t seen him/her/it around for a few days.
ReplyDeleteCongrats to Mr YP - he’ll go a long way…well he does doesn’t he….he and Clint go a long way from home on a regular basis don’t they ๐
Take care
Cathy
Happy New Year to you and all you love Kylie
Brilliant. And congratulations Kylie. I concur:
ReplyDelete'The Awards Committee picked Kylie, an Australian blogger who is responsible for "Eclectica" from the suburbs of Sydney. This is also a nice blog to visit. In it, Kylie reflects on her family, her dog, work and health issues. Her kindness, common sense and optimism shine through. Earlier this year she gave us a fascinating series of blogposts that exercised her talent for writing haiku verses. She occasionally acts as a doula - partnering women through childbirth and is active in The Salvation Army. Very deserving of the very first "Nicest Blogger" award.'
Ms Scarlet,
