Why?

When I wander about my place I often wonder "What the....."

Why is this basketball abandoned in the front yard?

Everyone has scissors on the fence, right?

This branch "fell down" when someone swung on it.

The scooters are also gracing the front yard and I'm pretty sure there were three of them, not two......if I'm hallucinating is it any wonder? The third is probably at the top of the steps, one day I'll go A over.....

This, though, is nice. If only I could remember to put some new plants in it.

  1. Ok, are my grandkids at your place!! I sure can relate to this...everywhere I look there is something...bikes, Mr.Bigs tools,(Tater and P.C like to use M.B. tools), more toys, you name it, they have taken it out and then forgot about it. Of course the invisible child did it, ya know!!

Thanks for my best chuckle of the day, Kylie!!

  2. Kylie,
I think I recognize that "holey" Terra Cotta pot. Fancy seeing it gracing cyberspace in a blogger's paradise. It looks nicely empty too so you could plant ome "grass" in it! Or a strawberry plant. I bet Mum remembers how much we paid for it!
There you go world wide audience the cat's out of the gag!

  4. Special,

Lovely photos!! It reminds me of my parents garden when I was small, although I don't think we left scissors outside! Star Wars figures maybe, but scissors, no!

And I love the fact that you went round taking photos of them! What must people have thought you were doing????

  6. Yes, and why is there a fork in my daughter's bed, and don't get me started on the odd sock lying on the kitchen floor--everyone's passed it at least twelve or so times without stooping to pick it up.

    SO funny.

  7. I don't even want to go there with the twins. Oh look, there's a dead frog in the computer room. No you CAN NOT HAVE A PET SPIDER!!!!! Yes, Mommie loves salamanders, but you need to keep them near the water or they will die. Speaking of twins, the house is very quiet, I should go check on them.

  8. Kylie, what a nifty Post.
When i was a little tacker I used to leave all my toys and stuff outside. When I was looking for something, Mum used say, "Have you tried looking in the back yard?"

    glad to see you here.
john doesnt need grass...he's naturally out of it :)

    leah,
i think i have the matching sock to that one on your kitchen floor!

    cece,
talking of dead frogs, spiders etc...one time when my oldest was a wee fella, maybe 4 or 5, his dad stunned a massive cockroach and rather than finish the job off put the thing in a little plastic bag with a rubber band round the top. he gave it back to the boy who pulled it out of his pocket in church! as if i wasn't already horrified he showed it to someone with a cleanliness fetish....
i think his cuteness saved the day!

    mark,
i'm glad to know other kids leave their stuff in the backyard. unfortunately (and also fortunately) this mob treat the whole street as their backyard!

    LOVE TO ALL

  10. Sweetie,
My little one loves to throw her toys every where too...but not anymore.. now she will put back in the toy box before we go to library and before we go to feed the ducks... I told her "if mamma saw anything in the floor that will go right to trash...she love her books and toys...so she will get one by one back to box.. " (my mom did that to us)

BTW my hubby throw stuff everywhere...his office =junkyard :))
    have a great weekend..
    love and ((hugs))
