Let Today's Blessings give you Hope for Tomorrow

Today I want to acknowledge that times are tough for some of my friends in cyberspace.

Suzanne is grief stricken, our own dear Cece is facing a tough time, Debbie at Wisteria & Roses has been thrown a curve ball and we all have our daily challenges.

I saw a wall plaque today which said something like "Let today's blessings give you hope" and I thought about how difficult it can be to see any blessings during the times when what is most important to us seems to be in jeopardy.

Some blessings, though, are there all the time and I hope you can take just a little sabbatical

be inspired when you see an exquisite flower

find reassurance in the beauty and reliability of sunset

see goodness reflected in art

and find glorious hope in the majesty of the ocean

my love to you all

He listens to my cry for help
and will answer my prayer

  7. My sweet sweet friend,

THANK YOU for your precious words of encouragement. You find beauty in all the same things I do: art, gardens, ocean . . .

I have spent a weekend consoling my sister (by phone) on the death of her sweet mother-in-law. My sorrows metled so perceptibly when another needed a strong shoulder.

I have been so blessed by your kindness and true friendship extended from across many oceans. Your prayers and exhortations lifted me. I have a new perspective and real JOY as I walk through each day. My grandpa always said, "Adversity builds character . . . and you're quite a character." He's right. ; )

  8. I love you. I expected to come here and say something funny about us Syber Nerds after visiting Brian's blog, and found this. Someone who absolutely understands the pain I'm in. I now know you understand how heartbroken I am. I'm in tears because I think you're the only one. In my whole life, I think you're the only one.

I was at the park today and just in agony. I've lost a mommy kitty and 9 kittens from three different litters in the short span of 3 weeks. I pretend I'm okay, but my heart is absolutely broken. I'm in tears because I know you understand how painful this period of my life really is. So much is changing, as it is for you, and I'm holding on by my fingernails. Every day at the park is a challenge because I never know what to expect. This morning was no different. I walked into the woods and found only my darling neutered male. Because things are changing so rapidly I felt scared when my other dear friends didn't appear. I started to cry. I hate what it's become. It's taken away so much that I love and cherish. I wondered if it's coyotes or something more sinister. How could everyone just go away so quickly?

My goal the past week has been to transition all the ferals I feed at the park to my back yard. With the economy so hard and money so tight, I decided to give it a try. Driving 25 miles to the park every day cost a lot of money, if everyone was in the back yard I'd save thousands of dollars/year. It's my goal over the next two months to get everyone here and heatlhy. That mean a trip to the vet's first for health care and spay or neuter if necessary. I've simply made a choice. This is it. Yes, our yard is going to be full and there will be fights. I'm prepared for the outcome. I believe in the end it will all work out.

I love you darling. Thank you so much for your kind words and support. Also for loving Cece and Debbie. Life is all about ups and downs and the people who stick by, no matter what. Thank you for sticking by. And just so you know, I'm thinking about all of you who aren't going though a though time right now, but will eventually. My backbone is firm, my quotes are many!!! Oh, and I'll probably talk your ear off too!!!

I love you very, very much. And thank you my darling, darling friend.

    XO
