hot buns

after a very hard day yesterday i retreated to bed very early so this morning i was salivating as anticipated my breakfast....

a fruity, spicy, buttery, golden toasted hot cross bun.

and they were all gone.

i suppose it was optimistic of me to think there may be any left from a pack of six delivered the day before. we do have two teenagers in the house......

and two growing girls....

and me

  1. Kylie...time to teach the teenagers how to bake. either that or hide the last one as moms just desserts.

  2. I suppose the solution is to go to bed late rather than to get up early.

  3. Some never learn.
You can lead a horse to water but you can't make it drink!

  4. Perhaps you sleepwalked (sleptwalked?)and ate them during the night without knowing. Either that or you'll have to put a padlock on the hot cross bun cupboard. Or buy another packet and scoff the lot in secret.

  19. I want some fruity, spicy, buttery, golden toasted hot cross buns and I want them now. Why are there none in the fridge? Why has nobody anticipated my every whim?
