After a long run of swelteringly hot days, high humidity, sweat, bugs, and fungus it has finally turned to autumn. The mornings are crisp, the days are warm and sunny, the nights are cool.
The Easter weather arrived just in time for Easter and I am grateful for that.

I have scoured google for images that mean Easter to me.

  3. Happy Easter, Kylie!

We will be in NYC for Easter and via the phone I asked the person at the front desk where the closest church was and what the dress for the particular church is. All I got on the line was dead air. I guess no one visiting the city really wants to go to church, but I can't imagine Easter Sunday and me not attending a service. And eating a chocolate bunny!

  5. What are my images of Easter? Easter eggs certainly. Not hot cross buns, I've never been keen on them. Not tibouchinas either as we don't have them here. But the camellias are blossoming nicely. Definitely not a church! How about Easter bunnies?

Easter here this year is dominated by events to commemorate the 1916 Easter Rising in the South. Of course the Rising was a huge failure, but that's not putting anyone off!

  6. Nick,
Te Easter rising was actually mentioned by my minister today. She left Ireland because of the war in the 70s. She mentioned it because she had been in fear of dissident action on the anniversary. (I think thats how they put it)

  8. Anne,
I once was out of town at Easter and dressed way too casually for the church I attended. I wouldnt want to do that again!

It should be Easter morning where you are as I write so Happy Easter because He is Risen!

  9. Joe,
This year we have sticky date and caramel buns as well as the traditional fruit ones. They are very good :)

  11. Kylie I long so much for our yearly trade of hemispherical weather. Easter--there is no picture I can think of--just another day in the TWM world--wife is away at her useless job doing more useless work and my repast will be found in foil somewhere in the leftover bin.

  12. Mark,
leftovers can be delightful or they can be very much less than appealing. I hope you got the former :)
