introducing doris & mabel

this is me and my sister, 'Na in character as mabel & doris.
'Na has been performing in small dramas at church for many years, she delivers a mean monologue and has a talent for accents so it was pretty exciting for me to be invited to perform with her at easter time.
'Na and i often ham it up for our own or our families' entertainment but to perform publicly was new to me and poor preparation together with nerves conspired to make sure my performance was less than perfect but 'Na covered for me where she could and my liam prompted, loudly, where absolutely necessary. my ockerism and sense of comedy saved my bacon and doris & mabel were so popular we were invited back for mothers day and then today for a service focused on generosity.
i doubt you'll be seeing me on the red carpet anytime soon but i'm having a blast and today i didn't even stuff up a line.
i hope mabel & doris reappear some time in the future

hello everyone,

i'm still short of stuff to say.......i have a couple of posts floating in my brain but they're not very well formed and i'm too tired to pull it together.
the weekend has been quite pleasant and sociable. yesterday was a wonderful day for the washing and after weeks upon weeks of bad weather it was a relief to get everything washed and dried painlessly.
we went to Na & Luigi's place both yesterday and today, so i've seen lots of the babies and enjoyed Na's company, the boys had fun playing on the Wii with Luigi and the Bug had a ball with our girls.
apart from the smell of the sun in our clothes i haven't managed to get a whole lot of housework done, so it seems that i face another week of starting from behind.......i'm good at that.

i'm not commenting too much of late but be assured that i read you all and you might as well marvel at the silence, it's rare you know :)


i'll leave you with a shot of my mob with their new cousins. this weekend it has been an absolute joy for me to watch my boys in rapture over the new little people, the pic doesn't capture it but one day it will be a reminder of times past.....

on second thoughts, this photo does manage to capture some of the pride and affection that is so touching to this sentimental mum

Na

I have mentioned my sister here a couple of times and today I want to introduce her properly (or at least better). I once referred to her as "the Rolemodel", thats because the Tomboy wants to be just like her.

My sister has long been nicknamed "Na" but I have always avoided using it....it sounds like Nup, No, Nada and I don't think it's really too nice but now she is posting comments as "Na" ( nup, no, nada) so if it's good enough for her then it will need to be good enough for me .

The little person is my gorgeous adorable niece, who I call "the Bug" (oh yeah, she's Na's daughter, too) she calls me Kyee. Too cute.
