I'm borrowing this series of questions from Rummuser because, why not?
Four names I go by:
Kylie, Kyles, Mum, Mama bear

Four places I have lived in:
I have lived in three houses in two suburbs, all in Sydney. I joke that I feel I live at the local shops so that adds up to four places.

Four places I have visited:
In the course of visiting my in-laws I have been to a few places in Malaysia with quick side trips to Thailand and Singapore. I took myself to the US for my fortieth birthday and have been to Tasmania a couple of times.
Four things I love to watch on TV:
I haven't watched much tv in a very long time but I tend to watch tv series on netflix. Currently watching Downton Abbey. Recent favourites: Luther, Death in Paradise and Shetland.

Four people who I think will respond and hopefully be fun:
Honestly? probably nobody and that's ok.

Four Things I love to drink:
I drink coffee and water most of the time and I don't love water. Fruit juice, chai, hot chocolate in winter or an occasional lemon lime & bitters are all a nice treat.

Love that final quote. It is (probably) true here too. Not a romantic, but...
ReplyDeleteI do like your answers. And the names you go by. I feel sure that there is a story behind Mama Bear.
I'm probably too much of a romantic but I just love the snark from this character. Have you watched it?
DeleteMama bear just seemed to morph into being from mum and mama in the same way the dog is Harry/Haz/Mr Harry
This is a nice little getting t know you better post!. I can only think of three names I have ever been called (well to my face, that is)
ReplyDeleteI bet your mother called you by all of your names when you were in trouble
DeleteIt's always good to learn a bit about people one follows. Actually some of your answers are quite different to that which I would have expected. Or perhaps, for example, what you like to eat and what you eat are quite different. You and I do have some things in common: pasta and cheese particularly spring to mind. Red wine features in my list though.
ReplyDeleteI eat far too much of what I like! but you are right, I try to keep a balance.
DeleteI think cheese is a food group in it's own right and if it's not, it should be
Had I not already written about these in my blog, I would have responded to No.6.
ReplyDeleteThe quote on being a romantic is outstanding!
The quote comes from the character pictured: the Dowager Grantham. She is the standout character of the entire series: romantic, witty and wise.
DeleteNever mind romance. As long as the heart keeps pumping everything will be just fine. It's my mantra and I hope it won't die with me.
ReplyDeleteSidney? Never been to the place though feel as if I know it well considering how people who have visited do gush. I suppose the closest I have been to Sidney is Hong Kong. Which is roughly the same distance as London to Singapore. You can tell, can't you that geography was always the last lesson of the day when all you wanted is to go home, fatigue having set in. Not helped by the peculiar attitude geography teachers have. And, like biology teachers, they tend to be tall. What do you expect if you have to sell Everest and the Himalayas at ten past midday?
Greetings from my little bear (Ursula) to Mama Bear (you),
U
Ursula your "poor" geography is forgiven and so it should be as I know nothing of Europe!
DeleteOnly three houses? That's remarkably stable. I've lived in thirteen different homes. Hopefully this'll be the last one, but who knows?
ReplyDeleteAs for TV, I recommend The Handmaid's Tale (Channel Four, UK) if you can get it. Grim but riveting.
You don't drink wine? Are you teetotal?
Yes, just three: one house with my parents from birth to twenty, a rented flat from 20-26 and our current house that we bought twenty years ago.
DeleteI am, indeed, teetotal
Mmmm... Baked cheese and chocolate pasta! What could be better?
ReplyDeletefish & chips?
Delete.....and mushy peas.
DeleteI have never seen those TV programmes, but I guess they are British? What does that say about me?
ReplyDeleteIt just says you don't watch tv or you watch different things to me.
DeleteAlso, Welcome!
Breaking Bad, Orange Is The New Black, Night Shift, Bad Education, Brooklyn Nine Nine, Luke Cage..... who needs TV when you have Netflix?
ReplyDeleteAnd no ads! I havent seen any of those shows, I guess i have to get watching :)
DeleteThank you. I like to post. Hope I don't bug you.
ReplyDeleteI like people to post and comment, you can't bug me
DeleteI know a song that will get on your nerves, get on your nerves.........
ReplyDeleteOh I might have a go at this if that's okay?
ReplyDeleteI look forward to it!
DeleteNice to see you back in blogland, too :)
It's good to be back. I've missed you all.
ReplyDeleteHaving tried to answer the questions I may not bother, as I don't watch TV and didn't quite understand the question about 4 places I've lived. I could answer a house! So I',m not sure my answers would be very interesting! Sorry to be a party pooper.
