I like *daily haven* because dogs share our days. We give dogs a home (*cosy blankets*) and they give us the security of their loyalty and protection. We dream about our dogs, they dream about us. When we wake from a bad dream, it is a comfort to have a dog in the same room.
Well spotted alphie! The greyhound is the one who roams the house looking for the best spot, sometimes my bed. The other one (actually a bull arab mix) is confined to a crate. They both dream and fart 😰
There is another Kylie, it came to my notice as a comment on Yorkshire Puddings blog a couple of day's back. His response mentioned the Salvation Army so I checked the comment writer and I'm sure it wasn't you. And I'm not referring to your girl's dog Millie. Alphie.
Ok, I hadn't seen yorkies reply to me and the golden retriever threw me. That Kylie is me. When I am commenting from my phone I use a different account which saves me logging in multiple times
So the golden retriever story is not you even though it comes up under your name. It might be the right time for me to quit reading blogs. I've had a Covid test prior to surgery tomorrow. At least I don't have Covid, according to the results. Ain't that something?
Golden retriever isn't me! I'd miss you if you stopped reading and commenting, I like your obvious, genuine interest and your humour, but I saw somewhere that you're not well and you have to do what works for you. I really hope the surgery goes well, no covid is a good start.
Thanks Kylie, I'm on a bit of a roller coaster ride, healthwise right now. And I'll quit hogging the comments right this minute. And watch something uplifting, like the ABC program on climate change :-(.
A heavenly haven.

See, now, I didn't think about sharing our days with dogs but of course that's what we do
DeleteSounds comfy!
ReplyDeleteIt is, mostly!
DeleteSo which Kylie is posting today? The one with the greyhound or the one with the golden retriever?

ReplyDeleteWe don't have a dog, but Hobie our cat gave us the sazme lazy days up until last year.
ReplyDeleteI remember Hobie, he lived to a grand old age, right?
